Yes, YouWipe is able to erase UEFI machines. For this you will need to create a UEFI bootable USB.

As booting from CD will not work it is recommended to boot from USB. To create this USB stick we would like to make you aware of our instruction how to create this USB stick. Please check here how to do this. It should boot from here without any issues.

In some cases you might need to change the boot order to boot from USB, if this is not shown in the bootorder.

If there are some problems with booting you will might need to change some settings of UEFI settings.

  1. So start booting in to the UEFI setting
  2. In the UEFI settings Disable the secure boot option, this can be found in the Security or Authentication menu.
  3. Save the settings and exit the UEFI settings page.

If above will not help you getting the image booted, please contact our support team at help@youwipe.com and submit a ticket.
